Great News! Following the latest update from the Government, we are delighted to welcome you back to the Sports Village from 6:30am on Wednesday 2 December. When we re-open on Wednesday, we will be entering tier 2 in Hatfield. This means there will be a few changes in what we can offer at the Sports Village. Basketball is a key performance sport at the University. Fast-paced and intense, the club is looking to attract players that will enhance their squads. Training is competitive but enjoyable, aimed at pushing those that participate to the best of their capabilities.
The Basketball Club participate in British College and Universities Sport (BUCS) competition:
Men’s 1st - South Eastern 1A and Trophy Men’s 2nd - South Eastern 4B and Conference Cup Women’s 1st - Premier South and Championship
Please note: There will be no BUCS Competition until Semester B due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2020-21 season will be a "bridging season" and results will have no impact on promotion or relegation.
BUCS are yet to annouce the format of League and Knockout competition for 2020-21.
How to Join
There are three weeks of free trials and taster sessions following Freshers' Week (Monday 28th September - Sunday 18th October).
Anyone invited to join the Club must have signed up and paid for their membership following this three-week period.

The Men's First Team are coached by Hemel Storm (National League Div 1) Assistant Coach, Michael Darlow.
The Women's First Team are coached by Oaklands Wolves (WBBL) Assistant Coach, Natasha Green.
