Fencing is one of the most sophisticated and tactical sports on offer. The University Fencing Club offers something for everyone - including existing fencers that are looking to improve their skills, as well as novices who want to try a new sport, all new members are welcome to join. The club has a men’s side competing in BUCS and also supports women wanting to compete.
The Fencing Club compete in the National University League and Cup programmes managed by BUCS:
Men’s 1st: South Eastern 1A and Trophy
There are two weeks of trials and taster sessions which begin in the week following Freshers' Week. These sessions are for new and existing members to train without cost or commitment.
You must pre-register to attend at either the Athletic Union Sports Fair or the SU Fresher’s Fair where you will be given further information.
All members must have signed up to the Club at the end of the two week trial or before their first fixture, whichever comes first.
The Fencing Club is coached by a highly experienced and qualified coach.
