The Hockey Club offers opportunities for players of all levels and experience to develop their skills and understanding of the game whilst being able to play competitively.
The club currently has two women’s and one men’s team representing the University in BUCS, whilst there are also many opportunities for social fixtures through the mixed team who play at the weekend and friendlies arranged against local clubs.
The Hockey Club compete in the National University League and cup programmes managed by BUCS:
Men’s 1st: South Eastern 3B and Conference Cup
Women's 1st: South Eastern 2B and Conference Cup
Women’s 2nd: Tier 5 NW London and Conference Plate
Please note: There will be no BUCS Competition until Semester B due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2020-21 season will be a "bridging season" and results will have no impact on promotion or relegation.
BUCS are yet to annouce the format of League and Knockout competition for 2020-21.
There are three weeks of free trials and taster sessions following Freshers' Week (Monday 28th September - Sunday 18th October).
Anyone invited to join the Club must have signed up and paid for their membership following this three-week period.
Please pre-register at the HertSquad Sports Fair (Wednesday 23rd September) or by contacting the Club on their social media channels.
The Hockey Club is coached every week by a highly experienced and qualified coach.
