Remember - our swimming pool will be closed on Wednesday 28 August for lane marking repainting as we continue to make improvements to the Sports Village. This also means there will be no swimming element on Wednesdays Kids Village Day Camp. The pool will be back open at the usual time of 06:30 on Thursday 29 August.
This traditional style of karate encompasses self-defence, fitness, control, self-confidence and improved coordination. The club are friendly and welcome any individual who would like to give the sport a go, with a fantastic coach who can cater to all abilities. The progress of dedicated students is demonstrated through regular grading and invitations to attend training schools throughout the year.
The Karate Club has the opportunity to enter participants in to the BUCS championships held in Sheffield in March. More information regarding entries can be obtained by contacting the Athletic Union office.
There are two weeks of trials and taster sessions which begin in the week following Freshers' Week. These sessions are for new and existing members to train without cost or commitment.
You must pre-register to attend at either the Athletic Union Sports Fair or the SU Fresher’s Fair where you will be given further information.
All members must have signed up to the Club at the end of the two week trial.
The Karate Club is coached by a qualified and experienced instructor for every session.
