We would like to say that HSV @ Home is now live! We have been working hard in the background to ensure you all keep fit and mentally well. We have released what we can, however we are aware that we are having a few teething issues, which we are working on. Check out HSV @ Home
This traditional style of karate encompasses self-defence, fitness, control, self-confidence and improved coordination. The club are friendly and welcome any individual who would like to give the sport a go, with a fantastic coach who can cater to all abilities. The progress of dedicated students is demonstrated through regular grading and invitations to attend training schools throughout the year.
The Karate Club has the opportunity to enter participants in to the BUCS championships held in Sheffield in March. More information regarding entries can be obtained by contacting the Athletic Union office.
There are two weeks of trials and taster sessions which begin in the week following Freshers' Week. These sessions are for new and existing members to train without cost or commitment.
You must pre-register to attend at either the Athletic Union Sports Fair or the SU Fresher’s Fair where you will be given further information.
All members must have signed up to the Club at the end of the two week trial.
The Karate Club is coached by a qualified and experienced instructor for every session.
