As one of the University's Performance Sports, Women's Football provides an excellent pathway for players from community grassroots players to international athletes. The University is extremely committed to the long-term development of women's football for all players from recreational footballers to the elite.
The Women's 1st XI Team provides an opportunity to represent the University in BUCS at the highest level alongside playing domestic club football. The 2nd XI also compete in BUCS competitions and welcome players of all abilities.
The Women's Football Club compete in the National University League and Cup Programme managed by BUCS.
1st XI: Premier South and Championship
2nd XI: South Eastern 4B and Conference Cup
There are two weeks of trials and taster sessions which begin in the week following Freshers' Week. These sessions are for new and existing members to train without cost or commitment.
You must pre-register to attend at either the Athletic Union Sports Fair or the SU Fresher’s Fair where you will be given further information.
All members must have signed up to the Club at the end of the two week trial or before their first fixture, whichever comes first.
The Women's Football Programme is managed and coached by a number of FA qualified coaches with extensive experience within the national women's game.
