What is Active Students?

Active Students is so much more than traditional sport. It’s a great way for you to meet new people and experience something for the first time, whilst having fun and staying healthy. All activities are free and you can turn up when you want – no sign up, no commitment, no cost.

So if you want a break from studying, want to see what’s going on around campus or want to meet some new people, then join us at a session.

The scheme is available to all University of Hertfordshire and is totally free!

Just find a session that you would like to take part in and turn up with your Student ID card. Simple.

Yoga helps to makes the body both strong and flexible.  It also improves the functioning of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and hormonal systems. Yoga brings about emotional stability and clarity of mind. No experience is needed, led by a fully-qualified instructor; the session is designed so that you can develop skills and postures while taking it at your own pace.

The Activators will be on hand to help and give you the confidence for you on your skate! Whether you’re a total beginner or a skating superstar this is a fun session for all! We will provide you with all the equipment you need including elbow and knee pads, just in case!

Zumba

Zumba is a Latin dance-inspired fitness session designed to provide a dynamic workout which is fun and easy to do! The routines feature fast and slow rhythms and resistance training combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavours and international zest into the mix and you’ve got Zumba. It’s an effective, aerobic workout and more than that it is FUN and that is why we know you will be back!
