Active Staff offers a range of free sports and activities on both campuses especially for staff. Sessions are relaxed and suitable for all levels of fitness. Lunch-break friendly sessions are long enough to get you moving and short enough to fit around your daily commitments.

Get rewarded – Grab a loyalty card from an Activator at any session, collect stamps each time you come along and collect your rewards.

Active Staff Update

The Active Staff Team wanted to provide an update following the decision on the 17th March, to suspend our Active Staff campus based programme of activities due to COVID-19.

The number one focus of Active Staff is your health and wellbeing. We are currently working on ways in which we can help keep you moving as much as possible and look after your physical and mental wellbeing during this time of uncertainty and change. One of the first things we have put in place is a virtual coffee morning which will happen every working day at 10:30am. During this time we will be sharing ideas on how to stay active whilst at home, having quizzes and playing some virtual games. We are also working on setting up some virtual exercise classes or links to classes which you can do in your own time. Please keep updated on the timetable below – to view the links / join the coffee mornings please press the “i” next to the activity for more information and the link!

Virtual and Outdoor Classes

If classes in our timetable are listed as ‘Virtual’, these sessions are completely free for you to join in.

Some sessions are listed as ‘Outdoor Classes’ which means these are part of our memberships/paid for programme.

Metafit is the ultimate heart-healthy exercise and is said to provide better protection against heart attacks compared to other slower, steady aerobic exercises such as jogging that are traditionally done for longer.
