Active Students Boxercise

Monday 21 March, 2022

Boxercise is a friendly and boxing-based workout session that takes place every Wednesday at the Oval Flexible Space on College Lane campus. It is one of the most fun sessions in the Active Students timetable!

What are the benefits of Boxercise sessions?
Boxing as a sport, when done carefully and with good technique, is a tremendously beneficial sport. It increases your cardiovascular capacity, along with hand-eye coordination. On top of this, Boxercise incorporates aerobic and strength exercises to the session that will train your muscles and provide you a great workout session. People who train with boxing-based exercises are known to be light on their feet, agile, and strong. Also, you don’t have to participate alone. Bring a friend or group of friends along to Boxercise!

Who can come along to the sessions?
Boxercise may sound intimidating at first, but we can assure you that this session welcomes people from all fitness and skill levels. Activators will be at the session at all times to assist you and offer help whenever needed. You get the chance to learn or improve your boxing technique and at the same time get a solid sweat going. If you have any questions about Boxercise, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to answer any questions you have.

What should you wear for the session?
All participants should wear comfortable, breathable athletic clothing to participate in the session. You must bring your UH ID cards. Don’t forget your water bottle, too! It’s important to stay hydrated during your participation.

We look forward to seeing you at Boxercise sessions every week!
