Kho Kho is one of the oldest traditional Indian outdoor games that dates back to ancient India. Along with Kabaddi, Kho Kho is the most popular game in continental India. In essence, Kho Kho is a tag sport played by teams who try to avoid being touched by members of the opposing team. Kho Kho is played by two teams of twelve nominated players out of fifteen, of which nine enter the field who sit on their knees (Chasing Team), and three extra (Defending Team) who try to avoid being touched by members of the other opposing team.
What are the benefits of Kho Kho sessions?
Playing a sport like Kho Kho keeps your body well, strong, motivated, enthusiastic and young, aiding in better coordination and flexibility. It further develops your teamwork abilities and discipline through pushing you to work as a unit with your teammates. The game is interesting because the position of the players sitting is dynamic; one will never find the same sequence of players are in the same order as when the game starts. Overall, it is an immensely beneficial sport for your mental and physical wellbeing.
