What is Active Students?

Active Students is so much more than traditional sport. It’s a great way for you to meet new people and experience something for the first time, whilst having fun and staying healthy. All activities are free and you can turn up when you want – no sign up, no commitment, no cost.

So if you want a break from studying, want to see what’s going on around campus or want to meet some new people, then join us at a session.

The scheme is available to all University of Hertfordshire and is totally free!

Just find a session that you would like to take part in and turn up with your Student ID card. Simple.

Please read our Virtual Class Disclaimer before participating in any session. By joining the class your consent will automatically be given.


Virtual and Outdoor Classes

If classes in our timetable are listed as ‘Virtual’, these sessions are completely free for you to join in.

Some sessions are listed as ‘Outdoor Classes’ which means these are part of our memberships/paid for programme.

If you have a membership with Herts Sports Village and want to re-start it or if you are interested in taking out a membership in order to take part in our Outdoor Classes, please contact hsv.memberships@herts.ac.uk.
