What is Active Students?

Active Students is so much more than traditional sport. It’s a great way for you to meet new people and experience something for the first time, whilst having fun and staying healthy. All activities are free and you can turn up when you want – no sign up, no commitment, no cost.

So if you want a break from studying, want to see what’s going on around campus or want to meet some new people, then join us at a session.

The scheme is available to all University of Hertfordshire and is totally free!

Just find a session that you would like to take part in and turn up with your Student ID card. Simple.

Free Campus Scavenger Hunt

Active Students and the Dean of Students team have been put together a fun Campus Scavenger Hunt for you!

You’ll have to use your knowledge of our campuses to find different letters that are positioned around both campuses! You’ll find these using the clues of the answer sheet!

Once you’ve found all of the letters you’ll have to put them together to spell out a word!

If you complete the Scavenger hunt and submit your answers, you’ll win a prize! Find out more information here.

Live Streamed Classes

If classes in our timetable are listed as ‘Live Stream’, these sessions are completely free for you to join in at Hertfordshire Sports Village. Due to mirrors in Studio 1, you will appear on the camera if you choose to physically attend the class in person. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer before attending the class. If classes in our timetable are listed as ‘Virtual’, these sessions are completely free for you to join in from the comfort of your own home.
