Netball is a key performance sport at the University and is known nationwide as one of the sector’s most successful programmes.
The First Team have won the BUCS Premier League South and the BUCS National Championship for the past 4 years making UH the number one unversity netball programme in the country. Athletes selected into our competitive sqauds have access to a performance focused dual-career environment which includes academic flexibility and first class athlete services (S&C, physio, gym membership, etc.) . The university also provide excellent links to franchises, clubs and external playing opportunities.
Exceptionally talented athletes may be eligible to apply for the University's Sport Scholarship Scheme
The Netball Club compete in the National University League and Cup programmes managed by BUCS:
1st: Premier South and Championship
2nd: South Eastern 1A and Trophy
3rd: South Eastern 3B and Conference Cup
There are two weeks of free trials and taster sessions at the start of semester. Anyone invited to join the Club must have signed up and paid for their membership following this two-week period.

The Netball Club coaching structure is led by Mel Mansfield, who is our Director of Netball. The First Team is coached by Yasmin Hodge-England, the Second Team is coached by Jenni Monger and the Third Team coached by Emma Catlin.
Full REPRESENT membership for this club is £130 for the academic year. This consists of a £30 joining fee and £100 fee to access training, fixtures and other Performance Sport related benefits. Please note you must have both parts of the membership to access all club benefits listed below:

The entry deadline for entering teams is 17:00 on Friday 3rd February.
Club Sport Netball league players will have access to a weekly coached session with the HertSquad Club Sport Represent 3rd Team Netbal Coach to improve their skills!
The HertSquad Club Sport Netball training and league will commence the week beginning Monday 6 February.

Students can enter a team into the Club Sport Netball league above by following the instructions below:
We recommend the team captain enters the team into the league. All team members will have to follow steps 1-5 above and then join their set team so that all team members are visible.
All teams must have the minimum number of squad players (7) visible under their Playwaze Netball team who have all paid the required individual entry fees by the entry deadline to secure their team space.
Students are responsible for organising their own teams. Although assistance is offered through our FREE 'Find Your Team' sessions at the start of term to help teams recruit players or for individuals looking for a team to join. Just come along to one of the sessions below with your student I.D. card:
