Active Staff offers a range of free sports and activities on both campuses. Sessions are relaxed and suitable for all levels of fitness. Lunch-break friendly sessions are long enough to get you moving and short enough to fit around your daily commitments.

Big Team Challenge - Step Routine

Active Staff are happy to be hosting weekly step routine sessions for all competitors taking part in the March challenge. Follow a step routine led by Celia from HSV to add some additional steps to your daily count! The session will be easy to follow and a bit of light-hearted fun! Metafit is the ultimate heart-healthy exercise and is said to provide better protection against heart attacks compared to other slower, steady aerobic exercises such as jogging that are traditionally done for longer.

Laughs for Staff

Professor Richard Wiseman has carried out a large amount of research into the psychology of humour, happiness and illusion. In this session he will describe his search for the world’s funniest joke, explore what makes us laugh, and uncover why humour is so important in our everyday lives.

Forest Therapy

Join Steve inside or outside to learn the practice of Forest-Therapy (Forest-Bathing). Which seeks to connect, or reconnect, people to natural environments in order to enhance overall wellbeing. It is a chance to take time-out, slow down, and feel refreshed and rejuvenated by using our whole senses to observe and appreciate things in nature. You just need sight of natural things e.g. garden, trees, plants, birds…there’s no need to bring anything.

At Mindless Academy, we regularly incorporate journaling and meditation into our daily routines, as well as into our programmes.
